You have the ability to make a significant difference in a resident’s life! Consider becoming a Volunteer or Mentor for one of our kids.
Volunteers help The Lodge enormously by supporting our therapeutic and enrichment programs. In addition, volunteers bring with them a level of enthusiasm and creativity that can help to boost campus morale. As an added bonus, volunteers often build personal and professional relationships with staff, sometimes forming friendships that can last a lifetime.
Perhaps you would like to become a tutor, or help teach an auxiliary class. Maybe you would like to volunteer your business services or host a holiday gift drive. To discuss ways you would like to become more involved, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call Lana at (818) 657-3128.
Mentoring is a personal relationship in which a more experienced person helps to guide and develop a less experienced person. Mentoring is an essential component of what we do here, because what the boys of Pacific Lodge most often lack in life is a reliable older person who can act as a role model. At The Lodge, a Mentor establishes a one-on-one relationship with a client and serves as his role model to help foster development of the boy’s character and build his sense of importance, self-esteem and confidence.
If you are someone over the age of 21 who listens actively, empathizes, sees solutions and opportunities, is flexible and has a desire to influence the life of a young person, please consider mentoring a resident at Pacific Lodge today. Not only would you be helping a boy in need, you could learn a lot about yourself in the process and have fun too! Please contact the Development Department at email@example.com or call Lana at (818) 657-3128 to learn more about becoming a mentor.
